Nvidia's RTX 3080 Specs, Close Look, and Price
Nvidia promises that the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card is of great significance. The "double performance" of RTX 2080 is perhaps the biggest requirement of all PCs and promises to achieve a breakthrough in PC gaming. Although we are still improving the RTX 3080, here is a closer look at the appearance of the actual hardware.
Nvidia has replaced the RTX 3080 with a new pennant-shaped board and combined this PCB with a new cooling shroud. This means that the RTX 3080 has a figure-eight shape with fans on both sides. Nvidia uses a push-pull system here. The left fan is more like a traditional blower cooler by expelling air from the PCIe slot. The fan on the right draws air into the card and then exhausts it on the other side close to the CPU cooler and rear case fan.

Nvidia claims that this is a more ideal airflow model that can reduce the GPU temperature on the RTX 3080 by about 20C, but it is worried that it may affect the CPU temperature by passing air directly through the CPU. Either way, this new card should provide quieter and more effective heat dissipation.
Another major change in the RTX 3080 hardware itself is the new 12-pin connector. It is smaller than using two traditional eight-pin connectors, but it does mean you have to use a clumsy adapter that can be separated and hung on the side of the card. Fortunately, Corsair is committed to creating a dedicated 12-pin connector for these cards, hoping that other PSU manufacturers can also create their own versions. New 12-pin connectors only are found on Nvidia's RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 Graphic cards.

RTX 3080 and RTX 2080
Compared with RTX 2080, RTX 3080 is not that big. Its length is 285mm, while the previous length was 267mm, but it is still a dual-slot design, suitable for most situations. Regarding the size of the RTX 3090, we can't say the same, it is expected to become a behemoth on the card. Nvidia's RTX 3080 will be equipped with 10GB of GDDR6X memory. Nvidia uses 8,704 CUDA cores and an enhanced clock of 1.71GHz. All these properties totaled 29.7 teraflops.
In the next few days, we will test this performance on RTX 2080 for 4K and 1440p games to understand Nvidia's stated goals. Please check back later for the complete GeForce RTX 3080 review. Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3080 will be released on September 17, priced at US$699.
Nvidia RTX 3080 performance
Nvidia claims that the GeForce RTX 3080 is twice as fast as the GeForce RTX 2080 it replaces, and how it makes the RTX 2080 Ti perform well. This is indeed a bold proposition.
But in the leaked benchmark test, we got a glimpse of how the RTX 3080 is significantly faster than the RTX 2080 and much faster than the RTX 2080 Ti. This is just a comprehensive benchmark.
When running Doom Eternal at 4K under Ultra settings, Nvidia puts the RTX 3080 against the RTX 2080 TI. The RTX 3080 is about 50% faster than the latest high-end Nvidia graphics card, and the frame rate is much higher than 100fps. And this may be before a lot of optimization.
In short, the RTX 3080 is expected to impress people in terms of high-end performance.
